Edmonton’s Downtown Sustainability Stroll

When people think of cities and downtowns, sustainability and environment are not often the first words that spring to mind. It is hoped that this tour will change that by highlighting the innovative ways Edmonton has reduced their impact on the environment and the environmentally friendly initiatives that are happening right within the heart of our city. We will also share information about the general state of the environment in Edmonton and the City of Edmonton’s goals for sustainability and energy transition. Be prepared for the weather and a walk of just under two kilometers which will take you from City Hall to the Shaw Convention Centre and back.

Meet a member of the Office of Environment at City Hall on June 3 at 12:00 pm. You will finish the walk around 1:00 in Churchill Square.

The Leader will be located at the base of the stairs to the Councillors’ Chambers in the City Hall Room. They will be holding a sign that says “Sustainability Stroll”.

There is a limited number of spots available, reserve yours by pre-registering.
